Colorado To Decide if Medical Marijuana Can Be Prescribed for PTSD
The Colorado Board of Health will vote Wednesday on whether post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) will be added to the list of conditions that can be treated with medical marijuana.
Nine other states already include PTSD within their respective medical marijuana programs, however, past efforts to make the change in Colorado have failed both at the board of health and in the state legislature.
There will be public comment at the hearing Wednesday at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on 4300 E. Cherry Creek South Drive. It starts at 10 a.m. with a significant turnout expected.
